Do you feel a little caught up in your thoughts and emotions at the moment? Then meditation could be really helpful.
Meditation begins once the thoughts and emotions have been stilled. It is a state of intense inward awareness, a state in which one's attention is no longer engaged in thinking about other projects, problems, worries etc. but is being fully engaged in the superconscious experience.
There are 3 states of consciousness; not only subconscious and conscious but also superconscious. Most people don't know what superconscious means. The superconscious represents a higher degree of awareness. It is the true source of all awareness. Superconsciousness is situated above our normal state of wakefulness. The superconscious is the realm of true vision. It contains the ecstasy experienced during periods of intense pryer or inward upliftment, when the ego's restlessness has been temporarily stilled.
The direct way to attune ourselves to superconsciousness is by meditation.
You can't think your way to meditation and you can't think yourself to deep insight and inspirations. You can only receive wisdom. So when you meditate, your. mind must be receptive. Meditation is perceiving and receiving answers, it's not about creating the answers. The secret to meditation is listening. It's a process of returning to your own centre.
Meditation is learning to relate to life and your environment from who you are and not from the way other people try to define you.
Daily meditation will lead you to the peace you may have been seeking for a long time.
I am not going to suggest how long or how much you meditate as that is up to you. I think it really depends on how much you enjoy the practise. But what I will say though is that the more regularly and the more deeply you meditate, the sooner you will find yourself acting always from a center of inner peace.
Enjoy the below guided meditation.

This is a beautiful plant based porridge. It is made with protein rich quinoa instead of oats. It's definitely worth trying. it's delicious with blueberries on it and some almond milk.
It serves 2 people and takes about 5 minutes to prepare.

This is what you need
½ cup (90g) uncooked quinoa
1 ½ cups (360ml) plant-based vanilla almond milk, unsweetened
1 tbsp. maple syrup (optional)
½ tsp. ground cinnamon
1 cup (190g) frozen or fresh blueberries
2 tbsp. flaked almonds
small pinch of salt
This us what you need to do
Measure and rinse quinoa. Place into a small saucepan with almond milk (or other plant-based milk of choice), ground cinnamon and a pinch of salt
Bring to the boil over a medium heat and then reduce the heat to a simmer. Cover with a lid and let the quinoa simmer for 15 minutes.
Remove the lid and if there is too much milk left, keep cooking with the lid off, stirring until the porridge thickens.
Pour the porridge into two bowls and top each bowl with ½ cup of blueberries and 1 tablespoon of flaked almonds. If you want, add a splash of plant-based milk and a ½ tablespoon of maple syrup for each bowl to sweeten.

Today I felt like connecting with Nature 🌿🌿🌿 I felt I needed to be around big trees and water. So I decided to drive a little further down the coast from where I am - to a place called Erskine's Falls. I have been there before and I love this place. It's the closest water fall to where I am and as I only had a couple of hours to spend, this was my choice of destination.
This beautiful waterfall is just inland a little from the beautiful costal town Lorne here in Victoria, Australia.
Below is a video I made and some photos below.

A couple of months ago I got into the habit of going for a "dip" in the ocean most days. But after a little while I stopped, as I though I would not continue as winter hit the coast and the water got colder. So, I got out of my habit again and started surf paddling more instead (as I then sit "on top" of the water and I wear special clothes that keeps me warm).
But today I "did it again"! I met up with a small group down in Torquay for another "dip" in the ocean. I came across this group on Facebook. I had actually not made a decision at all to join them but as I was about to hop on my spin bike in the garage this morning, I saw that the sunrise was going to be amazing. I quickly packed up a pair of bathers, just in case 😂....and drove down to the beach - still with no intention of jumping in!
When I got down there I saw a few people standing on the beach getting ready to hop in the ocean. I walked up to them and asked "Are you the crazy people who are going to have a dip in the ocean". They said, "of course we are". I made an instant decision to join them, stripped of to the bathers and ran in. I literally had no time to think at all. That certainly helped! 😂👍
They said their aim was to stay in 3 minutes. They ended up staying in 5 minutes but I decided to stay in to watch the sunrise and take photos. I ended up being in the water for 20 minutes. It was amazing! The water temperature in Torquay is currently 15 degrees and the air temperature was 9 degrees.
I am so glad a made a quick decision to hop in. I have felt great all day, apart from not feeling my toes and fingers for about an hour afterwards. Now, they are boiling hot!👍
Apparently there are many benefits with cold therapy after doing my research on the internet. Cold water swimming can apparently boost the immune system, give you a natural high (I have definitely have this all day!😀), improve your circulation & reduce stress. It can apparently also increase our libido & burn calories. And it's a great way of socialising and making new friends.
Well, I think that sounds pretty good. I thought it was so nice to catch up with new lovely people & I may decide to join them again next Wednesday at 7am.
If you are around this area, let me know if you are keen to join us.
Enjoy the photos I took this morning.
